Leader of ActionSA Herman Mashaba has tendered his resignation as a party councillor in the City of Johannesburg. Mashaba will vacate his position next month.
In a statement released today, Mashaba says another councillor will be given the opportunity to gain experience in local government whilst he will focus on expanding the party nationally in the build-up to the 2024 elections.
In the November local government elections, the party won 44 seats in the City of Johannesburg.
President @HermanMashaba has officially announced his resignation as a Johannesburg Councillor in order to focus his efforts on growing ActionSA across the length and breadth of South Africa, so that we can unseat the ANC in 2024. https://t.co/58S9FgQwnw
