As the country marks National Women’s day on Thursday, the Maseko family prepares to bury their daughter, Khensani Maseko.
Maseko was a Rhodes University law student.
Maseko took her life at her family’s Meyersdal Ridge Estate home East of Johannesburg last Friday. It is believed she had been battling depression following an alleged rape in May this year. The alleged perpetrator who’s also a student at the University, has been issued with a notice of suspension. Police say there’s no record of the case being opened.
