The Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Foundation and the Thabo Mbeki Foundation collaborated to celebrate the year of Oliver Tambo through a women’s dialogue.

The dialogue was held at The Market Theatre in Johannesburg and will aim to advocate women’s rights.

CEO of Oliver and Adelaide Tambo Foundation, Linda Vilakazi says the Former African National Congress (ANC) president was a strong supporter of women’s rights.

“It’s a way of emulating some of Oliver Tambos best traits because he was one person who collaborated very well, who was very inclusive, who worked with people from all walks of life and that’s how he achieved his near impossible mission of mobilising international support of against apartheid for south Africa.”
