Marius Louw second suspended for dangerous tackle

Marius Louw has become the second Sharks centre to be suspended for a dangerous tackle in a matter of weeks.

Louw has been suspended for three weeks up to and including April 13. The incident occurred in the Super Rugby match between the Sharks and the Rebels in Durban on Saturday.

A Super Rugby statement said the foul fell in the six-week ban range but the prompt admittance of guilt by Louw and his good judicial record were mitigating factors.

Another Sharks centre, Jeremy Ward, was suspended for five weeks following a similar incident against the Bulls earlier in March.
