Mapeza braces himself for a tough battle against Chiefs

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Chippa United coach Norman Mapeza says he is impressed with his charges’ training so far ahead of Wednesday’s Absa Premiership match against log-leaders Kaizer Chiefs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

The Chilli Boyz, who are stuck at the bottom of the log standings, are winless in nine matches after playing four draws and losing five times.

The former Ajax Cape Town defender, who welcomes back midfielder Thabo Rakhale from injury, admits they are facing a tough battle against a good Chiefs side.

Mapeza has insisted that the Chilli Boyz’s situation requires them to go all out and attack Chiefs in their effort to record their first league win of the season.

Meanwhile, the Absa Premiership Soweto Derby between the archrivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates is sold out.

The Soweto Derby will take place at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 9th November. Kick-off at 15:30. – Reports by Monwabisi Jimlongo
