The Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) has embarked on a ‘national day of action’ with various protests planned throughout the day.
The trade union federation demands include an increase on the national social grant, salary increments in certain municipalities, allowing municipal workers to hold political party office, as well as saving the failing state-run Post Office.
