The Cheetahs are riddled with a host of injuries after their last encounter against the Lions

Coach Franco Smith has made many changes to his Cheetahs side ahead of their Currie Cup clash against the Sharks at Kings Park Stadium in Durban on Saturday.

The  Cheetahs are riddled with a host of injuries after their last encounter against the Lions, where they lost 22-24 in Bloemfontein last week.

Smith, a former Springboks assistant coach, says the many injuries have been caused by playing three games in a row in the competition.

Both Darren Adonis and Tapiwa Mafura are out on hamstring injuries. Smith shares the reasons and other changes ahead of their game.

The Cheetahs are currently third on the log while the Sharks are second from the bottom in sixth place. The side from the Northern Cape, the Griquas top the log.
