The murder trial of Sandile Mantsoe, who’s accused of murdering his girlfriend Karabo Mokoena, is expected to begin in the High court in Johannesburg on Monday.
The 28-year-old has been charged with the premeditated murder of Mokoena.
Her charred remains were discovered on an open veld in Lyndhurst in Johannesburg in April last year.
At least 20 witnesses are expected to testify in the State’s case against Mantsoe.
He has denied killing Mokoena, but during his bail application admitted to disposing her body.
CCTV footage from Mantsoe’s apartment allegedly showed that they had been together on the night she went missing.
