Mandla Ndlovu elected new Provincial Chairperson of ANC Mpumalanga

Mpumalanga ANC convenor Mandla Ndlovu has been elected as the new Provincial Chairperson of ANC Mpumalanga. The results of the elections have just been announced at the provincial conference in eMalahleni.

Ndlovu has beaten Lucky Ndinisa with 440 votes against more than 278. 

Speedy Mashilo the new Deputy Chairperson of Mpumalanga and former Nkangala Regional Chair has openly endorsed Party President Cyril Ramaphosa for a second term along with the new Chairperson Mandla Ndlovu.  

Counting began in the early hours of this morning, where delegates were given an opportunity to nominate potential leaders from the floor.

The conference officially started yesterday afternoon, following numerous challenges including court interdicts by some ANC members. But the High Court in Johannesburg declared it legal and gave it the go-ahead.
