The community of Vuka in Sharpeville on the Vaal is still reeling from shock following the death of three people on Thursday morning.
A man shot his two girlfriends before turning the gun on himself.
Police say the man was with one of the girlfriends inside the house preparing to go to work when the other girlfriend arrived.
An argument started and the man started firing shots at both women killing them. He then turned the gun on himself.
Police are investigating and the motive for the killings is not yet known.
