A kidnap, rape and murder trial against a 36 year-old man of Phola Park in Huhudi, is expected to continue at the North West High court sitting at Vryburg on Wednesday. Patrick Goitsemodimo Makoro is accused of the brutal kidnapping, rape and murder a four year-old victim in 2016.
This is after the victim, who was playing with friends, disappeared from the streets of Huhudi, Vryburg in the North West. Eight days later the body of a child was discovered dumped in bushes and later identified as the missing victim. The body was missing an arm when it was discovered.
A traditional doctor has already given evidence regarding how the accused confided in him about killing the child. The accused allegedly went to the traditional healer to look for muti that will protect him from being arrested.
Instead the traditional doctor set a trap for the police to arrest him. The court has heard that Makoro further made admissions to his girlfriend regarding the crime.
