A Port Elizabeth man, who was accused of pointing a firearm at the Nelson Mandela Bay Mayor, Mongameli Bobani, has finally come out and has denied such claims.

Bobani had alleged that an unknown man walked into his office at the City Hall to talk about his burnt house before allegedly taking out his firearm.

Danisile Ngobo addressed the media with DA’s Athol Trollip. Ngobo says he met Bobani in a meeting they had both agreed to, with the mayor’s security attending.

“I never had any gun to point to the mayor. I only need (sic) for him to clear my name to the nation, because I am afraid of what the people can do. Like the SMMEs; because we have seen the deaths that have happened all over the Metro, which I don’t know which (sic) will be sent to me to destroy me and my family,” says Ngobo.
