A man accused of the alleged gang-rape of five women and the assault of male employees at a mortuary at Leporong in Ga-Mathabatha in Limpopo will appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s court on Friday.
Justice Mashiane is accused of being part of six gun-wielding men who assaulted and gang-raped some staff members and their guests, before making off with a safe full of an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is expected to make his second court appearance on Friday in connection with the incident.
It is believed Mashiane and his accomplices were heavily armed when they broke into the parlour’s workers’ quarters.
They allegedly assaulted and raped some of the occupants for about five hours, then fled the scene.
Mashiane also faces a separate charge of murder in connection with the killing of a farmer at Roedtan in the Waterberg district.
