Malema’s court case postponed

The case of EFF leader Julius Malema has been postponed to July the 27th in the Bloemfontein Regional Court.

Malema appeared briefly in a packed courtroom. He was accompaied by party’s national chairperson Dali Mpofu, secretary general Godrich Gardee and spokesperson Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.

Malema is facing charges of contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act.

In December 2014, Malema allegedly told his supporters to occupy land.

Malema faces similar charges in Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal.

He is challenging the constitutionality of the Act in the High Court in Pretoria.
