Malema in final push to woo voters

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema is addressing party supporters gathered in Katlehong in Ekurhuleni. The EFF is hosting its final rally, Tshela Thupa, ahead of Monday’s local government elections.

This is another push for the party to ask voters to give it a chance.

EFF’s Tshela Thupa rally:

Malema and his fellow party leaders have been campaigning in different parts of the country.

Malema says they’re convinced that more people will vote for the EFF on the 1st of November than in the previous local government election.

“We as the leadership collective of the EFF are convinced that our message has been received well by the voters of South Africa, and we are sure that the EFF will record a decisive victory on the 1st of November. We want to take this opportunity to thank all registered voters who have agreed to vote for the EFF on the 1st of November 2021.”

Malema says EFF members are public servants in waiting and will never undermine the electorate.

“We stand before [you] as humble servants, we are not arrogant. You coming out here humbles us, and we won’t feel like we are your bosses, you are our bosses. We come before you as your servants and we commit to deliver land and jobs manje.”
