Gauteng Premier David Makhura earlier this week postponed the announcement of his new executive

 

Gauteng Premier David Makhura has finally announced his Members of the Executive Council.

The new MEC’s are expected to be sworn-in at a ceremony to be held in Parktown, Johannesburg on Thursday.

Former Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is now the new Finance and e-Government MEC.

Faith Mazibuko moves from being MEC for Sport to Community Safety whilst Lebogang Maile moves from Economic Development and Agriculture to being MEC for Human Settlements, Urban Planning and Cogta.

Former Infrastructure Development MEC Jacob Mamabolo takes over as Roads and Transport MEC.

Some of the new names include that of Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko who’s now Education MEC.

Former Gauteng ANC spokesperson Tasneem Motara is MEC for Infrastructure Development and Property management whilst former Tshwane Mayor Kgosientsho Ramokgopa is MEC for Economic Development and Agriculture.

The Sports portfolio will be led by Mbali Hlophe while Dr Bandile Masuku is the new Health MEC.
