Maimane encourages DA members to be activists

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Democratic Alliance  (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane has urged party members to continue being activists in their respective constituencies. He was addressing the party’s two-day elective congress under way in Pretoria.

Maimane says the DA belongs to all South Africans and it embraces diversity.

He’s however expressed what he calls political opponents’ racial populism against the DA.

“Today I see a party more vibrant, diverse than ever. We are a beautiful party, SA party. I see a party filled with individuals who are proud of who they are and have recognized they are part of something greater than themselves. I see a party of patriots, who refuse to say their destinies must be defined by the way they look, the language they speak or the God they worship,” says Maimane.
