The Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Mmusi Maimane has called on all members of the party to hold their new leadership to account and to continue to have a progressive movement.

He was re-elected as the Federal Leader, alongside the party’s Federal Chairperson, Athol Trollip and the Federal Council Chairperson, James Selfe at the DA’s conference in Pretoria this past weekend.

He told the more than 2000 delegates that it is now the time to mobilise the masses in preparation for next year’s general elections.

More than 50 resolutions were adopted during the two-day conference, including the diversity clause.

Maimane says he has confidence into the new leadership of the DA.

“I think we can give this leadership and the congress resolutions great congratulations and success”

Maimane has described the leadership of the party the representation of the future of South Africa.

He says they will push for the removal of the African National Congress in power next year.
