Xitsonga musician, Thomas Chauke has paid tribute to the late SABC‘s Munghana Lonene FM presenter and producer, Mafosi “Try By Force” Chauke.
Dr Chauke, popularly known as Shinyori, says the late presenter and producer was a talented and dedicated artist.
The late radio personality also collaborated with various music artists. He died in a collision on the N1 at Bandelierkop outside Polokwane on Saturday last weekend.
He has been laid to rest at Njhakanjhaka village cemetery outside Louis Trichardt.
Dr Chauke says the radio personality offered him some advice regarding music production.
“What surprises me is how we were so close, but he never spoke bad about other artists to me. Our relationship ended between the two of us. Indeed, good people die early. He once visited me at my house and asked me that, ‘Since you are busy with your 37th album, please record one song using the modern musical instruments’.”
