Struggle icon, Winnie Madikizela-Mandela says she is confident the African National Congress’s (ANC) new leadership will take the party into a positive course.
She made the comments during a visit by the ruling party’s top six officials, lead by party president Cyril Ramaphosa, to her Soweto home on Monday night.
Madikizela-Mandela says she is happy with the direction the new crop has taken for the organisation.
The struggle veteran also says the ANC Women’s League did not work hard enough to convince party members to vote in more women into the top leadership.
Madikizela-Mandela says the Women’s League has a lot of work to do over the next five years leading to the next Elective Conference.
