Mabuza set to update Parliament on plans to tackle unemployment

Deputy President David Mabuza is on Thursday expected to answer wide-ranging questions in the National Assembly.

The questions will be from the ANC, UDM, COPE and IFP. The National Assembly rules require the Deputy President to answer oral questions once a month when Parliament is in session.

Deputy President Mabuza will explain to the National Assembly what innovative plans government will implement to address unemployment particularly among the youth.

Both ANC MP Nomalungelo Gina and IFP MP Mkhuleko Hlengwa have questions about building social cohesion and the effects of socio economic factors have on it.

COPE MP Deidre Carter wants to hear from the Deputy President how far they are in the process of subjecting members of the executive to lifestyle audits and whether the company conducting these audits would be independent from government.
