The African National Congress’ (ANC) newly elected Deputy President and Premier of Mpumalanga David Mabuza has arrived at KaNyamazane stadium east of Mbombela in Mpumalanga to celebrate his election into the party’s top structure.
Hundreds of ANC members and supporters including members of various denominations started arriving in buses and other modes of transport early on Sunday morning.
Mabuza was elected to the position during the party’s 54th National Conference held in Nasrec earlier this week.
He pipped his rival Lindiwe Sisulu who was also contesting for the position.
Mabuza is expected to address the public for the first time after being elected to the position.
