Johannesburg Emergency Services says the latest shack fire incidents at the Clay Pot informal settlement in Fourways was allegedly caused by a lovers’ tiff and drunkenness. The fire killed one person and has left over 200 people without shelter.
Three others are being treated for minor injuries in hospital. The city says that it will be providing relief support and food to the residents.
