President Cyril Ramaphosa addresses South Africans

President Cyril Ramaphosa addresses South Africans on the latest response from government amid rising COVID-19 infections in the country.

The address follows meetings yesterday of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC), the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC), and a special sitting of Cabinet.

This comes after reports that some beaches in the Eastern Cape might be closed for the festive season.

The address is being broadcast and streamed on a range of platforms that are accessible to South Africans and international audiences including the SABC News YouTube Channel:
