President Cyril Ramaphosa faces a mammoth task of uplifting a nation going through a pandemic and ailing economy, during his SONA on Thursday evening.

President Cyril Ramaphosa delivers his State of the Nation Address at 19h00 on Thursday, under abnormal circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The President is joined by 50 Members of Parliament, special guests and members of the media in Cape Town.

Many South Africans hope that the President’s speech will uplift and give hope to a nation battling with unemployment, an ailing economy and a health crisis brought on by the coronavirus.
