Instant messaging applications, Telegram and Signal, have both seen an increase in downloads as people continue to move from WhatsApp.
This as WhatsApp recently announced its new privacy policy that will see a change in how its parent company, Facebook, collects data from user accounts.
The new policy changes have been met with strong criticism from tech experts and ordinary WhatsApp users.
