An audio recording alleged to be that of senior African National Congress (ANC) Limpopo leader and Mopani District Executive Mayor, Nkakareng Rakgoale promising jobs and bursaries in exchange for votes at the party’s provincial list conference has gone viral on social media.
In the recording, which was allegedly made days prior to the ANC’s provincial list conference which was held in December, a voiced attributed to Rakgoale can be heard telling party members that when she becomes MEC, she will take care of them.
Rakgoale’s name featured top in the ANC provincial draft list.
Both Rakgoale and the Limpopo ANC could not be reached for comment at the time of broadcast.
