International relations minister Lindiwe Sisulu has described her shock, horror and disgust following explosions which rocked two countries on the continent at the weekend.

In Ethiopia, several people have been wounded after a grenade attack during a rally; the Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed escaped unharmed.

In Zimbabwe on Saturday during a rally President Emmerson Mnangagwa narrowly escaped harm in a blast attack which killed at least two people.

Speaking on Zimbabwe Sisulu says the perpetrators need to be brought to book.
