Five people have died and two others were injured in a multiple car crash on the Percy Five road outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
The injured have been taken to hospital in Polokwane.
Limpopo transport department spokesperson Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala says it is believed that an Opel bakkie overtook at an unsafe place and collided with an oncoming car.
The bakkie also side-swapped another vehicle.
One of the vehicles caught fire.
Traffic authorities are urging motorists to drive with caution.
We can confirm that we lost 5 lives on Sunday evening on the Percy Five in a mutliple vehicle crash which was allegedly as a result of reckless driving.
