Crocodile attacks are common in the Limpopo province.

A young boy has been attacked and killed by a crocodile in the Mutale River at Shadani village outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo.

An eye witness who prefers to remain anonymous says the boy was with friends when the incident happened, however they managed to escaped.

His body was retrieved from the river by community members after police were called to the scene.

Three months ago, a 52 year old woman was attacked and killed by a crocodile in the Mutshundudi River at Malavuwe village, also in the Venda area of Limpopo.
