Lidoda Duvha coach wants players to maintain a winning habit

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Black Leopards coach Alan Clark says he welcomes the selection headache he has, following great performances from players given a run in the league and the Nedbank Cup.

Clark has had the pleasure of rotating and refreshing his squad with his side’s progression in the cup.

Lidoda Duvha have also enjoyed a fantastic home run in their last five encounters in all competitions; two cup wins a league draw and win.

The coach just wants his players to maintain a winning habit and he welcomes the headaches that come with it headed back into Absa Premiership action.

Clark’s rotational plan has not included experienced midfielder Thuso Phala. The coach was asked after the Nedbank Cup last 16 round win over Amavarara about why Phala was not played.

The last time the former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United man featured for Leopards was in December against Orlando Pirates in Soweto. Clark says players in the same position are doing better.

The former assistant coach also appreciates the time in between matches this week saying if the Vhembe based side wants to maintain their intensity, rest is important.
