The African National Congress (ANC) launched its local government elections manifesto on the 27th of September 2021 at Church Square in Pretoria for the upcoming municipal elections on November 1st, 2021.
ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa unveiled the governing party’s five-year action plan for the local sphere of government.
Ramaphosa admitted that the party has made mistakes and pledged that the party will do better. He said the party has not always chosen the best people to run government institutions, has not always been responsive to people’s needs, and has not done enough to hold its officials accountable.
