6 Hours after polls closed, results declared in 20 voting districts

The IEC has declared results in 20 voting districts in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Northern Cape, Free State and Mpumalanga by 3am on Tuesday 2 November, just more than six hours after voting stations closed countrywide for the 2021 Local Government Elections. The first seats from the districts have been allocated to the ANC (6), the DA (3), the FF+ (1) and ICOSA (1).
