Lesotho journalists get Astrazeneca vaccine shots

Members of the media sector in Lesotho have received their first AstraZeneca vaccine shots as the country’s rollout continues.

The country received 36 000 doses of the vaccine and has vaccinated most of its frontline workers.

COVID-19 infections have significantly dropped in Lesotho and most of the stringent regulations have been eased.

The mountain kingdom as a total number of 10 720 cases, 5 868 recoveries and 316 deaths.

Lesotho Television’s Lerato Molefe, who has received the vaccine says, “For the longest time I have been waiting for it, I never felt any pain and everything went smoothly.”
