Affectionately called Bra Mac, Mathunjwa will be remembered for his many roles on South African television soapies and drama.
They include acting on SABC’s Khululeka, Stokvel, Generations and Soul City.
Siphiwe Nkosi, commonly known as Chirwale, from the SABC One drama, Emzini Wezintsizwa, remembers how he was comforted by Mathunjwa’s last words during production last week.
“One thing I will never forget is that for the first time, he came to do my piece, my sole piece. Usually, we do collaborations or we do his work. But for the first time we did my piece and for the first time he said to me, today you are [a] grown man, you are directing me,” adds Nkosi.
