Ferguson has laid rape charges against Danny Jordaan.

The woman that laid rape charges against South African Football Association (Safa) president, Danny Jordaan, says the legal system is a patriarchal construct that does not serve the victims of sexual violence.

Jennifer Ferguson, a singer and former African National Congress (ANC) MP spoke to SABC News about her journey and experience since coming out about the charges against Jordaan, which stems from 24 years ago.

Former ANC member of Parliament has laid a rape charge against former ANC Mayor. Any statement from #ANCWL league? Are they marching in support of imbokodo?#JenniferFerguson pic.twitter.com/70n5WFrqQd
