Land hearings to resume in KZN, North West

The Constitutional Review Committee’s public hearings on the land issue will move to the North West and KwaZulu-Natal this week.

Hearings will be held at the Taung Community Hall in the North West on Tuesday.

The KwaZulu-Natal leg of the public hearings will start on Wednesday in Vryheid.

The Committee has already conducted hearings in Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Free State and Limpopo.

The public hearings are focusing on the possible amendment of Section 25 of the Constitution to allow land expropriation without compensation.
