Two funerals of the slain men in the Ngcobo police shooting will take place on Saturday. Constable Kuhle Mateta from Ngcobo will be laid to rest as will soldier Freddy Mpandeni.

Mpandeni will receive a full military funeral. Both men along with other colleagues were killed in the Ngcobo police station attack on the 21st of February.

The first funeral of five took place in Zimbane village in Mthatha as Warrant Officer Zuko Mbini (46) was laid to rest on Friday. Mbini is survived by his wife and two children.

Mbini was buried with full honours, the funeral service celebrated his life with song and dance. He was described as a humble man and loyal servant in the police.

Mbini lost his life with four colleagues in the line of duty when a gang of armed robbers opened fire on them at the  Ngcobo police station.

The mastermind behind the attack are alleged to be the leaders of alleged cult church, Mancoba Seven Angels Ministries.

Police have vowed to close down the church.  The case is now with national police.
