A Pietermaritzburg man accused of R6 million Road Accident Fund fraud is due back in the Durban Commercial Crimes Court.

During Mohamed Ebrahim’s previous court appearance in October last year, the state indicated that the investigation had taken on a completely different dimension.

However no indication was given as to what this might be.

According to the charge sheet, Ebrahim submitted false claims to the Road Accident Fund that he had been seriously injured in a car accident in 2002.

His co-accused are his wife Asha, son Junaid and Nerosha Nohar, who allegedly submitted false claims as caregivers.
