Media personality Kuli Roberts will be laid to rest at a private funeral service in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Roberts, who was known for her wit, passed away last Wednesday.
The 49-year-old worked in various roles across media platforms.
Last year, she made headlines when it was announced that she was joining the African Transformation Movement as a candidate for the Local Government Elections. A claim she denied.
At Roberts’ memorial service on Wednesday, her long-time friend Siphokazi Ngula said Kuli will be dearly missed.
“She was very loved. She had so much presence and I am not surprised she ended up where she ended up and she stole so many people’s hearts, especially at school because she was very loud and very present so it’s such a sad moment for us to bid her farewell. RIP my friend, we will miss you and we loved reading about you and what you believe in, so may your soul rest in peace and may your family find comfort in knowing you are resting away from this wicked world.”
Twitter reacted to Robert’s memorial:
