The Kruger National Park has called on all those wishing to visit the park this week to book online or telephonically with their preferred gates of entry to avoid disappointment.

Entry to all game reserves belonging to SANParks will be free for South Africans this week.

This is part of the 16th annual, “Know your Park” campaign.

This year’s event seeks to encourage South Africans to get back to visiting their parks to boost the tourism industry which has been reeling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kruger National Park Spokesperson Ike Phaahla says, “The KNP is inviting all South Africans who have official IDs to come and enjoy a free entry from the 22nd to 26 November. The offer is on a first come first serve basis. This is an opportunity for all South Africans to come enjoy a day visit and enjoy their natural heritage. Quotas will apply at every gate and no alcohol will be permitted.”
