Kovsies Netball wins Varsity Cup for 3rd time

Kovsies Netball, as they are fondly known, took the honours for the first time in front of their home crowd by beating University of Pretoria's Tuks with 63 goals against 59.

Kovsies Netball, as they are fondly known, took the honours for the first time in front of their home crowd by beating University of Pretoria's Tuks with 63 goals against 59.

University of the Free State’s netball coach, Burta de Kock, says she coached a dedicated team that won the Varsity Cup for a third time.

Kovsies Netball, as they are fondly known, took the honours for the first time in front of their home crowd by beating University of Pretoria’s Tuks with 63 goals against 59.

De Kock has lauded the university management for supporting netball at the UFS.

“It’s a wonderful sight to experience the win, all the universities are working very hard but for the cream of the crop, to be successful the gold medal in hand, and we are very privilege to have it”.
