The VKB Knights will be back in action in October, when they start off with the 4-day domestic series. On Monday, October 7th they will go up against the Warriors at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley. The Free State side is currently busy with pre-season preparations in Bloemfontein.

Earlier in 2019, the Knights finished off 4th in the last 4-day series that started in September 2018, a poor performance compared to previous years.

Knights’ bowler Shadely van Schalkwyk weighs in on their last 4–day series.

The 30-year-old from Cape Town looks into some of the lessons they have learnt from their last 4-day.

Van Schalkwyk has been with the Free State Union side for 10 years.

Van Schalkwyk is a product of the famous Wynberg Boys’ High School in the Mother City. He is looking forward to seeing what head coach Allan Kruger brings to the side.
