King Goodwill Zwelithini has criticised the introduction of sex education in schools.
He was speaking in the Isandlwana area in Nquthu in northern KwaZulu-Natal during the commemoration of the Battle of Isandlwana.
The King has called on parents to reject the introduction of subjects that he feels, will promote bad behaviour.
Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says the Battle of Isandlwana is still relevant because it is a reminder of the Zulu people’s struggle against land dispossession.
“It represents heroism of the Zulu nation which fought a war against the British army, which the war was a reflection of the fight against the dispossession of land. It will be remembered that they wanted to conquer the Zulu army so that they will take control of the land. So, as government, we take this as part of the struggle for resistance against colonialism, land dispossession and oppression of our people.”
