Kevin Anderson bows out of New York tennis tournament

South Africa’s Kevin Anderson has bowed out of the Western and Southern Open tennis tournament in New York.

Fourth seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece defeated the two-time Grand Slam finalist 6-1, 6-3 to reach the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 event in New York.

In the men’s doubles, South Africa’s Raven Klaasen and his Austrian partner Oliver Marach who are seeded seventh, will face Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands and Romanian Horia Tecau later today for a place in the quarter-final.
