Uhuru Kenyatta who was sworn in for his second and final term as Kenya president in November will arrive in South Africa on Thursday.

Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta will address the African National Congress (ANC) 106th anniversary meeting in East London during his visit to South Africa later this week.

Kenyatta who was sworn in for his second and final term in November arrives in South Africa.

It is his first foreign visit since his inauguration in November last year.

President Kenyatta will be the chief guest during the ANC NEC Meeting in East London He is expected to give a keynote address touching on Pan Africanism and the role of political parties in promoting democracy in Africa.

The ANC cadre has in the past pointed to President Kenyatta’s father Jomo Kenyatta as some of the African freedom fighters who inspired the South Africa struggle for independence. Ahead of the ANC celebrations Kenyatta will meet President Jacob Zuma for bilateral talks a follow up of President Zuma’s visit to Kenya last year.

Kenya and South Africa are economic giants in their respective economic blocs.
