Political analyst Ralph Mathekga says the ‘no vote’ campaign is grossly misunderstood, because when people decide to deliver a spoilt ballot it constitutes a political message.
Former Minister Ronnie Kasrils called on voters to spoil their ballots if they feel they cannot vote for the African National Congress.
Speaking on AM Live, Mathekga says the message that is portrayed by deliberately spoiling a vote is that the parties contesting elections do not constitute viable alternatives.
