Zesco scored two quick goals, and Amakhosi trailed 2-1 at the break after a goal from Zimbabwean Khama Billiat.

Kaizer Chiefs‘ bad run in Confederation of African Football competitions continued on Sunday afternoon. Chiefs lost 3-1 to Zambian side Zesco United in an attempt to book their place in the group stages of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Zesco scored two quick goals, and Amakhosi trailed 2-1 at the break after a goal from Zimbabwean Khama Billiat.

The Zambians scored their third goal eight minutes into the second half. The return leg of the match will be played at the FNB Stadium next weekend.
