Residents of Kagiso on the Gauteng’s West Rand have been living in fear since the discovery of three bodies in the open veld in the area last week.
The three males were found with their hands tied behind their backs with a belt. Police have not ruled out the possibility that a serial killer might be operating from the area.
No one has been arrested so far and police have appealed to communities for any information. These Kagiso residents say they are even afraid of walking the streets.
“We can’t even walk anymore to the nearest shop that you want to go to. But as the community we are not well we are safe… Now we have to lock our doors early and we are very scared we are frightened I’m not going to lie to you,” says the resident.
Police are calling on members of the public to be vigilant and avoid walking alone in deserted areas.
