A judge has turned down US actor Johnny Depp’s bid to dismiss his ex-wife Amber Heard’s countersuit.

This before Depp’s attorneys on Tuesday presented a full day of expert witnesses whose goal was to dismantle the expert testimony presented by Heard’s witnesses throughout the trial.

Depp is suing Heard in Virginia for $50-million, saying she defamed him when she said she was a victim of domestic abuse.

Heard has countersued for 100 million, arguing that Depp smeared her by calling her a liar.

Heard’s team rested the defense case on Tuesday.

Closing arguments are scheduled for Friday.
